*EXCLUSIVE* Behind the scenes - SL Jones SPAZZ

Undeniably, one of the best up and coming artists in the game, S.L Jones recently recorded a music video for one of his newest songs, entitled “Spazz”.

There for the shoot, FirkRadio was given the opportunity to go behind the scenes and hold an exclusive interview with the star.

Jones, with the assistance of director and camera man, Shane Nash, began working early in the afternoon, on a shoot that lasted until around 11 ‘o’clock that night. Throughout the course of the day, the crew moved from location to location, along Jones Avenue (in Atlanta). Some of the more interesting locations included the home of Grammy-nominated engineer, Seth Firkins and on the back of an ice-cream truck.

 A lot of people came out in support of Jones, which kept the set interesting and full of positive energy. While the shoot did go longer than expected, the star made time to answer a few questions for FirkRadio, in between scenes.

Q: What is the meaning of the song/word “Spazz”?

A: Spazz means to go crazy on the track with a display of lyrical prowess, along
    with saying whatever comes to mind.

Q: How did you get the idea for the song?

A: The beat just made me want to spazz.

Q: What is the premise of the video?

A: To play off the lyrics and to symbolically illustrate what’s being said
     throughout the song.

Q: How do you see the video coming across?

A: Witty, entertaining, and fun, instead of focusing on the struggle

Going behind the scenes, I went as a representative of FirkRadio. However, this shoot was full of surprises as I found myself playing a role in the video, along with a friend of both Jones and myself, Jessica Barker. While neither of us knew that we would be taking part in the video, Jessica and I were cast as the “Skype War” girls.

In this scene, we had to “fight” over Skype time with Jones. In our acting debut, Jessica had to choke me, as I fought to keep her out of the webcam. While fighting with each other was one of the most uncharacteristic acts that could have possibly taken place, it was all in good fun and it only added to the high energy on the set.

The “Skype War” scene is just one of the many, very entertaining moments that makes up the “Spazz” video. Jones sums the video up as “entertainment” and being on the set, FirkRadio can guarantee that this video will be just that;

pure entertainment, without a single dull moment.

With that being said, you’re definitely going to want to stay tuned!
